Consistency over Convenience

Today has not been a good day. It would be much more convenient to simply skip writing. But a commitment was made. Today consistency is chosen over convenience.
Consistency over Convenience

I don't want to write today. I don't feel like putting in the work.

My goal is to ship essays for 30 days straight. Not 29 out of 30 - so here I am. 30 days requires consistency even when you don't feel like it.

Consistency means you do what you say even when it's not convenient. It means you commit. Committed to your goals, your dreams, and the life you want.

Consistency is not easy in many areas of our lives. Creating, shipping, parenting, marriage, work - all these areas require consistency over convenience.

James Clear writes about the importance of consistency. Even when work is inconvenient, "it's the ability to work when work isn't easy that makes the difference."

This is how top performers separate themselves from the heard. They choose consistency over convenience.

Consistency is not a choice we make once and it's done. We must choose daily. Choosing daily because we know we'll make new discoveries.

We discover growth.

We discover internal strengths.

We discover meaning.

We discover we may one day be among the top performers.

Let us strive to be among the top performers.

Be consistent: show up, do the work.
